This morning, I received a yahoo messenger conference invitation from my classmate, i joined it. The talk was about the assignment in technopreneurship and a plan to watch Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen. So there I was few minutes past 11am at NCCC mall of davao waiting for my classmates. To my surprise, the agreed rendezvous time was at 10:30 but only one big man was standing there, it was Jopal Matthew Dumanig. Because the others haven’t arrived yet, I decided to go together with Jopal to globelines to pay half of my internet bill (I brought it with me). After which we walked back to the meeting place and there was the macho nerd there, Ronald Borla sitting on the food court. Few minutes past and little by little have our classmates arrived. Together with me aside from the names mentioned above were Abzkan Abdul, Bryle Cambronero, Karlo Jesus Sobiaco, Sean Lester Benitez,Patrick John Yap, Jan Benedict pilapil, Paul Mark Barsarsa, and Jenver Puno. When we no longer have anyone to wait for, we immediately went to the theater to buy some tickets. As we entered the cinema, we discovered we missed some of the trailers but we managed to catch GI Joe. So we sat back and feel the unending freezing breeze of the place. We were excited back then and it continues as the show began.
Movie Summary (absolutely no spoilers)
The movie started off with the ancient time 17000 B.C. showing a group of people discovering the existence of the Robots we call the Transformers and a mayhem caused by the decepticons in China. I won’t elaborate much about the details but some of the exciting parts of the movies includes Sam’s mom being emotional for getting into college, Sam discovered that he had a small piece of shard from the cube left in his jacket’s packet, started seeing symbols in foreign language which eventually lead to the creation of new decepticons which nearly put their house in the ruins, but bumble bee came in to rescue. The situation gets a little emotional with bumble bee crying with falling fake tears. So sam went into his boarding house and met the computer geek bunk mate. He met this chick which actually was a decepticon in human form which was revealed on the middle part of the movie, attacking Sam, his girlfriend and his bunk mate who joined the adventure. Pentagon was shaken when a new man given the authority from the president to carry out orders started banishing out the autobots. The villain robots were up to reviving all their fallen comrades (including Megatron), resume invading the earth and bring their leader named “fallen” to earth to strengthen their force and rule. Series of funny events started to show up as Sam’s Bunk mate made humorous mistakes. Sam, almost got killed by three decepticons was rescued by Optimus Prime, which sadly ended with the enemy’s success leaving the leader of the autobots dead. On their way to uncover the secrets of other robots which were already on the planet earth long ago, they met an old rude decepticon who turned side to the autobots and made friends with Sam and the others. One of the decepticons created on the Sam’s house incident also turned side and started flirting with Mikaela (Sam’s girlfriend). The oldie has the ability to teleport, bringing him and the others to Egypt, the place where Sam’s vision of symbol points to. It is where the matrix, something that can bring a dead robot to life and power up a destructive machine which was sealed somewhere by the clan of Primes . They must find it before the enemy does to prevent them from using the machine and use the matrix to revive optimus prime. They accidentally found it but it became powder, poured it in a glove, pulled few strings from the pentagon to bring optimus prime to egypt. Enormous enemies started to arrive, some were super gigantic, ready for their mission. Lots of explosions and firing and amazing visual effects took over. Because Sam was far away from where optimus prime was dropped, they must reach there safely with the powdered matrix to revive optimus prime, the last living descendant of his clan who is the only one capable of defeating “fallen”. So the shooting went on and unfortunately Sam was badly hit, making him dead, but only for a while. In his dream a group of Primes talked to him and woke him back to life. The powdered matrix suddenly shaped back to its original form, and so Sam stroke it to Optimus’ spark and revived him. Shortly after optimus was back, fallen came in and stole the matrix, while optimus prime struggled for a fight against many enemy. The old rude decepticon who was dying offered his power and body parts to him, making a new and even bigger and stronger optimus prime. The matrix has been placed to the destructive machine but optimus prime blew it with a powerful shot. Another tremendous fight emerged which concluded to Fallen’s death and Optimus Prime’s victory. Megatron, damaged and wasted immediately escaped and said “this isn’t over yet”..hmmm.. smell’s like another sequel..hehehe
Well, that’s all the movie is all about, I hope I didn’t spoil you..hahaha… ;P
